It is a healthy dog with great vitality, but it can present common health problems that affect many breeds of dogs. The main diseases of the Czechoslovakian wolfdog are hip dysplasia (HD), elbow dysplasia (ED), degenerative myelopathy (DM), pituitary dwarfism (DW).

There are also other genetic mutations that we must take into account, such as long hair (FGF5) or curly hair (KRT71).
